    Frog rods and flipping rods

Are there any good telescoping rods in the 7'6-8' rods for frogs and or flipping/punching? My rod locker limits my rod length.

I have "normal" frog rods too. But for some of the nasty stuff I am fishing I won't use one under 7'8". I currently use 7'11" rod for the super nasty stuff and I love it but I can't put it in the rod locker. I have some more traditional 7'2" frog rods for skipping/walking.

Thanks for the info. I will keep my eye out for those. Are there any companies making current models that telescope?

G Loomis GLX 905 is an excellent flipping stick and collapsible. The IMX 904 would be a good frog rod

The IMX 904 was my favorite flipping rod in the day. I’ve since stopped using telescoping rods.

The GLX 905 was too brittle for me. I broke 2 of them on hook sets.

If you can find them the Lamiglass 797 Magnum Grass Rod will handle all of your requirements, Bobby Barrack was using them when I took a guide trip with him on the CA Delta, we launched frogs all day with them and they easily handle the flipping duties.

I bought one of these years ago. It was a Tourney Special IM7 Graphite Heavy rod. Still have not used it yet with the plastic and price tag of $49.00 still rapped around the handle. I think Bass Pro was having a sale because I got about 3 different Tourney Special rods that are all the same style but different model numbers and sizes. I got the 7'6"H-TELE also labeled as TYS76HT-TELE. I looked it up but am not finding any information about it. It's basically a broom stick LOL. I think it will be too heavy for frog fishing though. I'll have to give it a try one of these this year and see how I like it.

There were problems with the early 905 GLX's but any that are surviving today should be fine
