    Adding

I know how to add a waypoint to my Garmin manually by punching in the lat/lon, but I have ~30 waypoints and 3 polygons from Google Earth that I would somehow like to put on my 93sv CHIRP. Can anybody shed some light on this for me?

You can save the GE file to a KML file and convert it to GPX using this program and then upload the GPX to your unit.

I forgot but you might be able to open the KML file with Homeport and save it as the Garmin user file.....

Yes, you can do exactly this. Import kml/kmz file straight into Homeport, then directly save as Garmin proprietary ADM file.
