Anyone have Boat House Sling straps on Allison xb-21 BSP

Ok so I have my first boathouse ever and was about to start putting my xb-21 Bassport pro in it from Feb through June (basically untill mud dobbers come out here)... I have heard a couple people saying the slings or straps can squeeze the rub rails and kinda start binding the compartment lids etc? These stories were involving a ranger and another cookie cutter boat so I'm asking you guys for any input on this situation

I'm just trying to check for any input, I called Allison and guy said it should be fine but I don't think he understood the side pressure I was talking about from rub rail too rub rail

I keep my XB-21 on a boat lift all summer. I configured the bunks just like the vertical ones on the trailer. That way they don’t bow and place pressure points on the hull. Your best bet would be to get a cradle style boat house lift and do the same instead of slings.

Would it be possible to move the slings farther apart at the top ?
Or place something between the straps so they don't mash the sides together.

I have had 4 boat house lifts. Two with slings and two with bunks. Go with the bunks. You can thank me later.

On one of the sling setup it would squeeze the rubber strip out of the rub rail where the strap put pressure on it. I would have to frequently take a car key or dull screw driver and put the rub rail material back into the channel.

What kind of foam does Allison use on these 2 vertical bunks?

No foam. Just a carpeted 2x6. There is a 1/2 inch thick wood strip that runs along the inside top edge with a bevel that matches the angle of the hull. At least that is how I constructed it. Take a look at your trailer next time the boat is off of it and you will see what I am talking about.

The Allison trailers I have recovered the bunks on did not have any foam.
They did have an extra piece of carpet underneath the top side of the vertical bunks for more padding.
