    206 SI transducer mounting location

    I am getting ready to install my new electronics on my 2004 206 DC i am wondering where others have found the best location and method for mounting the SI ? This unit is for my dash so it will be transom installs I am looking for. Pictures of options would be great

    I put transducershieldand saver onto the jackplate to hold the SI transducer

    If you have a slide master JP... There is a space behind the cross member and hull. 3/4" self tapping screws work, 1/2 self tapping will give a little more space.

    Not the best pic or angle, but you can see where I mounted mine. I think it's a great location. I fish Fork a lot and with the Transducer Shield and Saver, I'm still on my original Transducer. It reads well on si here too.

    Thanks, glad to here that location works so well, it looks like its about the same spot mine will be with the Jack plate mount I ordered

    I have the same jackplate, I used galvanized angle iron/ aluminum angle, attached the tranducer to it and then used some 1/4"ss bolts to attach it to the jackplate. works like a charm. those other installs are also sweet. no holes in my transom!!
