    Seeing his dad pull him out of that fire in sanoma I think is what took the fire out of him. He was never the same driver after that crash. for the family.

    Sad! That man has lost a lot! I was a huge fan of his father, and am a fan of Jr. It has to be next to impossible trying to live up to the legend Sr was. I hope he finds happiness with his family outside of racing. I lost my mother a year ago and it was devastating

    I totally agree! It scared him. He Never drove the same way afterwards. I can't blame him. He was relentless until that happened. And a few concussions that he hid and it just took its toll on him.

    Prayers for Dale and his sister and the whole Earnhardt family. I am sure the death of his father shook him up but i believe that fire he encountered in that corvette is what really took the fire out of him.
