    20xd question

talking to darris at allison a few months ago he was chapped at mercury over the advertised
weight of the new v8 mercurys. the weight is anything but what is advertised. with that thought
what about the future of the 20xd. Currently with a 3.0 liter 3 batteries oil tank any gas and water
in the live well you know what that looks like in the water.could not imagine two talons as well. im hoping my
3.0 liter lasts til im ready for another aluminunm boat as i get older. what about the new ones sold ?
i know they sell very few a year so what engines will be the best ? all to heavy as they are now.
i know they might work but the 20 is slowly being passed by with these new heavy engines it seems.
    just a opinion....

They barley sell any 20XD anymore. But if someone really wanted one they could put lithium batteries to make up the diff. I own a 20XD and would gladly loose the 2-3mph to hop in a 21SS.

I originally ordered a 20XDC, Then called back the next day and upgraded to the 21XDC... I'm so glad I did. But the older I get, The less I feel like I need a boat like I have. I still like my rig a lot, But I could see going back to an Xpress X19 150HP.

Come on over with me. It was a good decision for me and the new xpress boats are a lot nicer. Whats the new mercuries weigh? I have the big block evinrude g2 and its a beast. All 8 plugs out on a fury and no blowout just pure torque. Fastest holeshot ive ever had

Like an s10 to 3/4 ton.

I had 3 20xd's and love them. Sold my 20xd (that Steve ran 111) and bought a tin boat. Sold my tin and bought a 20xrd. Couldn't be happier.
