Fished Douglas Lake today.

Logs and whole trees floating everywhere. Very muddy and tough fishing. Only caught 2 bass in 3 hours. Be careful if you are heading there to fish.

Don't know what you're fishing for but Douglas is fishing tough right now for anything. And do be careful there is debris EVEREWHERE! Good luck.

Your right about it being tough. Fishing for largemouth but everytime I go recently I only catch white bass. They are killing my dt6.

I actually live in Fines Creek. Exit 15 into NC so I launch at Swan's Marina or Whit Pine. I moved to the area two years ago and I'm trying to figure Douglas out. I'm probably going to hire a guide to teach me on Douglas.

I moved here 4 years ago. I'm closer to Cherokee so that's where I fish mainly. This year I have finally been consistent catching some bass. It takes time to learn these lakes. Check in with Bucks and Bass and talk to Jason. He's a big help. Good luck.

Thanks, for the info. I fished Cherokee last summer for about 2 hours. Only caught one but it was 4 pounds.
