Question Lower unit bolt was loose

I have a 2008 BassCat Puma with a 250 Optima Pro XS. When I got home tonight after 3 solid days of prefishing I noticed that one of my lower unit bolts was very loose. Is it okay to just tighten it back up or could there be other things I should check. The other boots are tight and the boat ran well. Thanks.

I don't own a Mercury motor. If you mean the bolts that attach the L/U to the stem, I'd just tighten it, make sure it is not stripped out, and check the other ones, and especially the one under the tab if so equipped.

All the nuts and bolts must now be checked with a Torque Wrench.....

+1, there's an entire thread there devoted to "torque specs".
