Lakes around Orange Park

I want to stay away from the big lakes tomorrow. Was thinking of Sampson lake. Anyone have and knowledge there? Just need to know if it is accessible. Any other little gems around orange park.

Not usable!!!!! Maybe try Hampton or Crosby.

You can't get into Sampson. I went there two weeks ago and there wasn't a truck in the parking lot. When I got out and looked at the ramp I found out why. Not enough water to float a boat. Somebody told me that they were keeping it low because of the road construction nearby. That don't make any sense to me but that is what I was told, for what it's worth. I've been going on down to Lochloosa or Orange. Plenty water there and the bass should be turning on pretty soon. Water temp was in the mid 70's. Last Saturday the wind was howling and the lake was rough. The high wind had the lake stirred up pretty good and fishing was not good. I caught one bass. Hopefully this Saturday will be better.
