    Early 2000's 185 SC questions

    Hey guys,

    I'm looking to purchase a tin rig here within the next year and trying to narrow down what I want. Decided to go with aluminum over fiberglass because of the cost and within my price range and most glass boats are going to have wood in them and that scares me on the older boats. But after doing some research and my budget I should be able to find a nice tin rig from the early 2000's and I've narrowed it down to the 185 with a 90 HP from 2000-2003. the Lowe 180W from 2001-2003 with a 115, or the old 2000 Skeeter Aluminum ZX 18 or 19. My biggest thing at this point is mostly the storage situation and rod lockers. If anyone has any info on those or really any pros and cons with the boat at all that'd be great! Thanks in advance!

    I have a PT 185 with 90 2 stroke, year 2005, it has been bullet proof since new.... I have had to replace some pumps but that about all.... still on original carpet but it is showing some wear around edges but keeping it in garage is the secret to longevity. Has 2 rod lockers and plenty of storage elsewhere. Only problem I had is going to 24 volt troller, very tight for batteries....
