NOBODY has a sense of humor anymore (especially young people aka millenials)

Listened to Ron White and Rodney Carrington while gathering eggs this morning. Now there is comedy. They make me laugh so hard.

The cruise we took last year had some pretty good comedians doing standup. None of them were famous but they were funny. The adult shows weren't dodging offending anyone.

I guess I don’t see it on tv like you use to. Use to have a lot of stand up on Comedy Central hbo and showtime. I don’t watch that much tv so maybe I’m just not seeing it.

Absolutely. One of the best I’ve heard in a long time. Another really funny one that surprised me was Joe Rogan. I listen to his podcast, which is where I heard about Nate, but was surprised at how great his Netflix special was.

If a comedian can make you laugh with just clean humor and stories then they are a true artist. Those who have to use race or sex jokes to get a laugh is more of a gimmick than anything. It’s the shock factor that’s making you laugh not it being actually funny because the normal response to something that’s high inappropriate in that setting is to laugh since that’s what everyone else is doing. It’s been admitted by comedians time and time again that if they see a crowd not acting the way they want they get more offensive to force reactions. I do love Dr Dirty, Chris Rock, Daniel Tosh and Tom segura though.

Try Bill Burr on Youtube. He doesn't care who he offends. Brian Regan is pretty good. His stuff is pretty clean.

+1 Seems like a lot of women reach for the low-hanging fruit in the comedy biz now. Very few are clever enough to come up with good clean stuff, they just want to shock with being crude. There have been several through the years though, Carol Burnett, Jeanne Robertson, Ellen for example.

There are plenty of clean comics out there worth good money to see...J.Robertson is one of them... She's hilarious... Iglesias is another...Henry Cho, Jeff Allen...John Crist....seen James Gregory mentioned...he has to be one of my all timers as far as this conversation goes....Joe Rogan...I wouldn't give 2 cents to see one of his shows...

It just depends on what folks are looking for...good clean comedy...or shock comedy...

Too many people have lost their ability to laugh at themselves.
