Connecting a 10ga battery wire to 20ga graph power cable?
I'm running a 10ga wire from a fuse block under the console up to a bow mounted graph. What's a good method of connecting the 10ga wire to a ~20ga graph power wire?

Probably Solder and seal with Marine Heat shrink.

Will be interesting if you post your before/after voltage drop results.

10awg is unnecessary. 12awg is all that is needed. I just stripped off about 3" of shielding, folded it over twice, and stuffed it in a marine heat shrink butt splice. Not a fan of solder for boat connections. It gets brittle and can create bad connections with all the vibration in a boat. My opinion is probably in the minority. I've rigged boats both ways & never had a problem with either way. Heat shrink butt splices are definitely easier.

Heat shrink ring terminal on each wire. Then secure the ring terminals to a terminal block with a screw.

Use a step down butt connector with heat shrink tubing over it. Have them on amazon
