    Kia Telluride

Ok, I am replacing my 09 Pilot, not exited car buyer, but my sister is best friends with a guy with 4 Kia dealerships. I know it is a new model, but this Georgia built car is pretty nice looking and he will give a nice deal, considering they are in limited supply, I only tow a a Sabre, so tow package is 5000 lbs . Anyone know anyone that has bought one? Opinions? I know the guy pretty well, so not real nervous about that part.

I don’t think I would hesitate. That’s a nice ride and if you’re not towing hundreds of miles to fish each weekend I’d go for it.

A friend of mine is in the market as well. She test drove the Telluride and loved it.

My bosses wife just bought one a month ago. The interior is very nice. She loves it. I think she was the 3rd person to own one in Indiana. Other then that its so new and few there isn't many reviews about it.

Looks like at least as much SUV as the Pilot.

Have seen a few around here. Good looking rides. My sister has a Kia and they did have to replace her engine at one point but other than that it's been a pretty good car. Its about 4 years old and the you can tell the suspension is wearing a little, like the shocks but everything else seems fine. I wouldn't have an issue getting one I dont think. Our neighbor has the Honda pilot that's pretty loaded and it's a really nice ride. It also does seem better built than the Kia stuff I've been around but not a huge difference

Saw two on the same street, not 100 yards apart the other day. What I like about KIA's is the 100,000 mile warranty. My daughter has a 15 Sportage (before the one that's out now that honestly I don't like front end compared to hers) but it's been a great little SUV for them, and almost 100,000 miles now, trouble free.

What I don't like, (for towing a boat) it's HUGE, weighs in at about 4400 pounds in AWD version (which is the ONLY way to have one if your doing any towing, especially on a boat ramp) and only comes with a 3.6. That's going to be a lot of work when towing a boat, even the Sabre. What's that boat weigh, trailer and all.... pushing 3000 pounds I'd think (if not a little more).

But as far as fit, finish, build quality..... I like KIA's, like them quite a bit actually.

I saw that, but think they are all 4 cyl's. Also sounds like they are a little cramped in 2nd, third row, (although 1 or 2 people 98% with me, just can't go "4" Cal

kia & hyundai will depreciate a lot faster than your Honda, but you keep your vehicles for a good while so I wouldn't be concerned.

we have a honda civic ---it has been ok, not great. Lots of little things always crapping out. Rear brakes have been a constant problem. Fixed cpl times and doing it again. My son sells Hondas and it will not be on our list for next vehicle. Been looking at Kia

That's probably going to replace my latest Flex AWD. The last Flex has already rolled off the line and there will be no more. I like both Kia Telluride and the Hyundai Palisade, and the Subaru might be in consideration.
My wife has a '16 Sorento AWD which she loves and had an '07 Rio before that. Kia/Hyundai make good vehicles.

Sounds like it’s just a bad car from the start honestly. I have a 2012 civic with 210,000 miles and still get over 40mpg highway and 36 city. I usually put on 30k miles a year and have only replaced the brakes once, tires twice, and muffler once. It’s been an absolute dream. Everyone I knew who had a Hyundai got rid of them before 100k miles because that’s when they were known to start breaking down. When my civic goes, Kia/Hyundai is at the bottom of the list just due to reliability issues after 100k-150k miles.
