Celebrated My 25th Year With the NYSP

[NY Trooper]

Last week I marked my 25th year of service to the folks of NYS.

Hard to believe. It's funny that I am "the senior trooper" for my zone which covers 3 counties. I looked in the mirror and realized "I am the old man now".

Another fact that amazes me is how few of us there are left that responded to NYC on 9/11. Most of the people I work with now were not even on the job that day. Hell, a few now weren't even born.

Have seen untold numbers of changes through this period. The most important to me though is that my wife and two children. Karen has been here for the whole ride. Not sure how many more I have left in me but I'm still going today.

To everyone that serves in one capacity or another to the public, have a blessed day.

We have put our time in and can enjoy this position now. More fishing and Fridays off for me this year will be my plan. CJ
