    Shelbyville Crappies

Has anyone been fishing for them lately? I plan on stopping for some crappie fishing on Thursday morning on my way to Lake Sara for a club tournament. Wondering which end of the lake has been better. Thanks for any info.

I fished a team tournament there on Saturday. I have no idea what the crappie bite is like but water was stained/dirty and 58 degrees at the railroad bridge and down in Lithia it was 59 degrees and much better water color. The wind was blowing 30 mph out of the Northeast, so we didn't see anyone crappie fish'n at all. I pre-fished a bit earlier in the week and it seemed like most of the guys that i saw crappie fish'n were from Eagle Creek on south to the dam. I did catch a couple decent crappie on a squrebill while I was pre-fish'n and they were both on rocks.

I know I'm late to the party, look on crappie.com - illinois sub-forum. Always something about Shelbyville on there .
