2002 185 Trolling Motor Mounting

Looking at buying a 2002 185. Back then how did they attach the trolling motor. Through bolts or Lag Screws. I see screw heads but that's all. I want to mount an Ultrex if I buy it. Is there a way to acces the underside of the hull to use bolts and big washers.

I have a 2003. There is a panel with 6 screws. Remove the panel and you have access to the trolling motor bolts. It’s pretty tight to get to a few of them but yes Bolts and nuts.

Is that the plastic plate the switches and graph are mounted to.

Yes, the bow panel plate.
