Now I have squeeking at the wheel

I just started getting squeeking as I turn the steering wheel. The blinker trim and jackplate switches are rubbing the rubber below the steering wheel. Never noticed this before. Could it just be the rubber is drying out or do I need to move something?

I trimmed the rubber back on mine after installing the jackplate trim lever. Worked for me.

Mine has done it from day 1. What did you use to trim the rubber back?

I had this on mine too - I took the rubber cover off the steering column and that was the issue. I trimmed one ring off the rubber cover and no more squeak.

How did you get the rubber cover off? Did you have to remove the steering wheel?

It's been awhile since I took a steering wheel off. Is it just the 6-8 screws on top? Do you need a puller to remove it?
