Is there a way to when you tell the ultrex using goto a waypoint to stop within a specified number of feet from the waypoint?

Set the cursor where you want to stop and hit go-to cursor instead of waypoint

Can't you use DTG (Distance To Go)?

You can set the distance for an arrival alarm I believe and then hit spotlock when the alarm goes off.

Maybe use range rings to help stop short.

I remember a setting that will spot lock automatically when you reach your desired target. Can’t remember if this setting is on the Ultrex remote controller or the head unit. But pretty sure the option is available.

That's Arrival Mode (Off, Spot-Lock, Autopilot). That wouldn't allow you to stop before reaching a waypoint/spotlock. There is no way to make it stop automatically before the desired location unless you have another waypoint/spotlock or navigating a saved Itrack.
