Best time of year?

Hi All,

I have fished Oneida when fishing tanks here in MD, that is around mid July through October.......my brother wants to join me on a trip and I wondering what time of late spring/summer you would recommend a trip for some decent action. I know you can't predict the weather, and we are flexible, but the one thing I would like to him to experience is smallmouth topwater action, so was wondering when the bite and topwater action gets good.

2nd week in May till second week in june. for great fishing including topwater however on oneida topwater can be anytime but alot of tanks are up shallow times listed.

Just make sure the weather is right . You could be calm with light winds to gust and sitting on 3-4 footers ..
plus direction is key
