What kind of boat is this? Never seen or heard of it until now. Is the hull even designed for these sort of speed?

Its a "MEGABASS" which is a Brazilian boat company that splashes the hull of a Bullet. The driver said he was looking at speed on passengers phone when he had blowout and the distraction did not allow him to recover or save it. This happened in Brazil and the driver is a member here.

Isn't that a fact. I was mistaken on my previous comment, I thought I had read Bass Cat not the Brazilian boat. Sorry for that.

Seemed like it accelerated kinda slow for 400hp, I was also surprised that it ripped the side like that, water must of gotten between the top cap and hull. Amazed the boat could be destroyed and both people popped right up fine.

My best guess from seeing this type damage on a light 20-foot Bullet is that when the boat came down hard on the left aide, it pushed the hull in, creating a gap between the top of the side of the hull and the cap, water hydrauliced that space and fiberglas started coming apart. It’s a major miracle that one or both of these lads were not killed.

More like improper set up, as in engine too high.
And most likely a lack of seat time.
