Looking to get a pad for my front deck without looking terrible.

I can’t yank up the carpet right now to recarpet and pad my deck.

Any of you guys find some stuff you can add on top of your carpet and not have it look too terrible but be functional and help your feet and back? Think I’ll recarpet in a year or so when I save up the funds to do it myself

I put this down on the floor and front deck of my waterfowl boat. Works awesome and was extremely durable. I fished out of it a few times even though it was black, it wasn’t to hot. You could make a template and cut it to fit then use 3M spray adhesive to apply it to the carpet since it would all come out when you replaced the carpet.

Not exactly what you are asking but have you explored all the different footwear options? The right insole just might solve your problems. I always figured that if under carpet padding really helps you then you probably needed better shoes to begin with.

When you get ready to take the carpet out I would look at something like SeaDeck

I did something very similar to this. But instead of glue, I'm holding mine down with carpet tape. It's been in my boat now for nearly a year and it is awesome. My front deck was already padded but this added another 1/2" to 3/4" of padding. It is extremely comfy. I used to have terrible pain in my heels after a long weekend on the water but no more.

Bought one of these before last week at Table Rock and it helped tremendously.

That padding made me think it would be nice to install some thin padding under the carpet on the top side under the new carpet. Is this ever done or would the corners and edges not look good when the carpet is wrapped around from top to bottom?

Not exactly what you are asking for but my advice is to get more comfortable shoes. Serves the same purpose for less money.

Almost every boat you buy nowadays has this feature.
