Pushing 50 on light loads and minimal fuel. Normal conditions and regular loads 46-48 mph. Plenty of speed to get you anywhere!

Best run 52. Consistently get 51.7 by myself and 51.2 with a second person in the boat.

I have the same setup and get 49.5 max and 48 normal. Do you know where you have your jack plate set? I haven't had time to play with mine yet.

Has anyone else noticed that on the 115 ProXS there is very little speed change from 5800/5900 rpm to 6300? I can be going full out, and don't even see the gps speed drop until I get down to about 5800. Makes me feel like there is more performance to gain there if you see no real difference in the last 300-400 rpm's, but I'm running consistently in the 48-49mph range and I haven't really seen anyone report higher. Not sure I should chase extra performance if there isn't really any to be had.

Those speeds are the top end for that outboard. Some guys are squeaking out 51, the highest I touched was 49 once.

I've hit 50.3 a few times with just me in the boat. Fully loaded with my fishing buddy 46-48. Very rarely do I run WOT for very far. Not in that big of a hurry to get anywhere, plus it's been too stinkin cold. This past Saturday would be an exception. It was around 60 degrees and we made one run of a few miles WOT, speed was 46-47.

Do the talons hurt getting on plane alot? I wondered how that weight would affect the performance of the 115? I ordered one and got 2 8' raptors which should probably weigh less but wondered if it was a mistake putting all that weight on it.

Fishing gear, 30 gal of fuel, full live well, 3 group 31 batteries, 500 lbs of fishermen, no jack plate and 10' Talons. Right up on plane. The only reason I went with Talons and not poles is that I fish in tight spots and need the room behind the boat.

Google a torque curve chart. There ain't much left in the last few hundred rpm in most internal combustion engines.
