    Ice out reports up north (Vilas County, etc)?

    Anybody got any detail? Last I heard was yesterday there was still 17-20" in Minocqua. Just wanted to start a thread that hopefully guys can update so I don't waste half a day driving there and back only to find I can't fish yet.. Lol

    I am betting ice fishing will be required to fish on opener on some lakes

    two or three years ago the lake my Grandpa lives on in Forest County had people tip up fishing on opener...I sure hope that isn't the case this year.

    My bro was just ice fishing yestarday on Big Arbor Vitae in vilas county 24" ice yet . It is gonna be pretty warm up there though. So I am crossing my fingers because i am headed up for smallmouth fishing May 10.
