I just picked up and broke in my 19 Z21 with the 250 four stroke. 112 with 10 "atlas and poles 1/2 tank of fuel, 1 person and alot of tackle. I have had it up 73.4. I can't imagine with a 300. I have ran about every boat made and have been running a Z20 the last 2 yrs. This new Z21 with the four stroke is an amazing boat! By far the best boat I have ever ran!

well not sure anyone has run a new 4 stroke 300. Seem to remember the 300 Pro xs 2 stroke was 77-79.

Just some advice- Driving any bass boat at 75+ does take significant driver input and attention. Little mistakes can be escalated in a hurry and involve significant danger. Please consider your overall driver experience and keep safety as a priority. Be honest with your capabilities.

A lot of things can be done to make a boat easier to drive at speed. Had a Z9 that was uncontrollable over 70 when I first got it. Messed with the height with some improvement, but changing props made the boat extremely easy to drive. That boat hit 75 a few times when I got light on fuel. Regularly saw 74. Never had a driving issue again.

    If I had a z21 with a 300 only getting 73-74 I would not be happy. Mine has seen 73+. And I only have a 250.

I believe the 300 Pro XS 4 stroke puts out around 296 HP? The 250 Pro XS 4 stroke puts out about 275 HP...Same max RPM of 6200...Maybe 2-3 mph difference between the two? If you want to greatly improve your performance go with the 300R...About 316 HP and an additional 200 RPM (6400)...

The 2012 250 Pro XS 2 stroke was probably about 263 HP...
