I went to install my post into the hole and it seemed very tight. I was afraid if I forced it in, I would never get it back out. Brand new boat so the carpet isn't worn yet.. Any suggestions or is it not that bad to remove??

Check your post on all of the holes. I replaced one of mine and the insert was egged a bit.

It will be super tight. I have to twist mine and it seems to loosen up a little. I think the carpet gets down in there
