    Installing New Electronics

I have a 2002 Ranger Comanche 518 and I am removing a HDS7 LSS1 and replacing it with a Elite 9 Ti. I am unsure about the positive and negative wiring of the power cable. Under the console, there seems to be two boards that everything is connected to and I think one is positive and one is negative. In the pictures, the bright blue connectors are where the hds is attached. If I remove these and plug my new ones in the same place will I be safe?

Assuming your source is 12V to those panels, yes it will be safe. But is is best to run all your electronics straight to your battery so to avoid voltage drop. Just ensure you install a 5 amp fuse on the hot side coming from the battery.

Doesn't that wiring diagram say black is negative and red is positive?
