Hit a log this past Saturday. My motor will not go up or down from the shifter or bow, but will from the motor. I was able to run the boat back to the ramp on plane. It ran fine, but when I spin the prop I hear a clanking sound. Is the lower unit a total loss. I was told it could be a broken shim and the lower unit could possibly be saved. Not sure why motor will only go up and down from the switch on the motor itself.
