Question What’s the best 10” and 12” units for livescope?

Just bought livescope but need a chart plotter to go with it. What’s the consensus on the best 10” and 12” units for livescope? I’ll only be using it for livescope. Thanks for your input.

I don’t have it yet but I ordered a 8610 for the higher resolution. Thought about a 12” unit but would have been around $1300 more than the 10” unit.

Well if you’re asking for the absolute best unit it would have to be the 8610 with it’s display resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels, but I would seriously consider the ECHOMAP™ Ultra 106sv with it’s resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. (same as the 7610)

I bought the 1222 also. Had it out twice and no problems so far. Call the Bass Tank in Oklahoma.

All great choices, I almost purchased the 1222xsv for my Livescope, but for one hundred dollars more I purchased the 1242xsv without transducer. It came with the new G3 Bluechart, G3 LakeVu, and Navionics Mapping as well. I prefer the hard key units over the touch as well for the faster processor. I've owned all brands, and I run a combination of Humminbird and Garmin.

Do any of the 10 or 12 inch units have a quick release mount like on the new EchoMAP ultras? I’m looking for a quick and easy way to remove the unit for safe storage. I don’t like ram mounts as they slip and fall during bumpy rides. Any advice?

I've had both 1242 and now 8612 and while the 8612 is nice the 1242 for the price was just as good.
