    Tire Recommendaiton

Had a bad blowout on the interstate last week.
Currently have the China made C rated Goodyear Marathon ST215/75R14.

What is better tire these days? Really don't want to go back with a China Made tire if I don't have too.

Should I jump up to a D rating?

Also where can I buy the black lug nuts? Broke one of those off removing my tires, as well as I had to break off my spare tire holder bolt too because the nut would not come off.

It wasn't a fun time on the side of the interstate that day. Was shocked at the idiots who would not move over.

I blew out one about a year ago. I had Carlisles that came on the boat. (bought in 2014) After a lot of research, I went with the Goodyear Endurance. Happy so far. I got them at Sams Club.

+1 on the Goodyear Endurance. They are load range D and speed rated N. Meaning they are rated to 87 mph. Great tires.

I got the Endurances as well. Got NTB to beat Discount's price, then had Discount beat that price and bought them there Anyway, they seem to be great so far. In my opinion the Carlisles look better, but the Endurances have better ratings and reviews. I am happy as of about a year with them!

Don’t forget about Maxxis tires. That is the only tire I will run on my trailers once it needs replacing. Overall good reviews on Maxxis tires.

Endurance tires are the best option out.

One member posted that the axle weight of our 'little 618's' was 3540 or about that. This was more then I had calculated and if remotely correct indicates even on the little boat the load C tires are not enough. I have gone to load D and mine will turn three years in Sept and I will replace them. I bought my Load D before the endurance came out. Mine are a Etrailer brand and I will likely replace with those because my spare is that make.

One of the things I notice immediately is the boat pushes and pulled better on Load D's with 65# PSI. Never a c-load again
