    Question Fast Strike oil question

I need to buy oil for my 1997 Fast Strike 115. Is the XD100 suitable for use in VRO engines? I like the idea of less smoke and would use it if suitable. The engine model is J115GLEUA.

It is the BEST oil you can run in that engine period.....may be cost prohibitive to some, but is the best. Most compromise with the xd-50...less smoke and has the carb x additive. Another plus for the 100 is no need to decarb....it cleans the engine as you run. Several on here run it on their faststrikes and intruders.

Run the 100. I did in my 130, and it ran great.

I have ran the XD 50 in mine for the 10 years I’ve owned it. Took it in a last fall for a little issue I was having. 120 psi on all cylinders. It’s a 1996 fast strike. Runs awesome.

Be aware that XD-100 oil is required when temperatures approach freezing if you are a hard-core boater or fisherman
