    Cave Run Lake

    I'm headed to Cave Run Friday. What stage are they in up there? Any suggestions for baits, colors?

    Fish on Cave Run doesn’t exactly pattern as they would at other lakes. It’s is a very tough lake to fish. Been fishing it for 15 years it is my home lake. Right now your best bet would be slow rolling white spinnerbaits in standing timber. If that doesn’t produce try flipping zoom speed craws in coves on the main lake. If all else fails The Flats should produce some fish. I wouldn’t get your hopes up for a big day on Cave Run most guys have trouble producing a limit regularly.
