PowerPole pin stripes on the Bird

Added some red pin stripes to the PowerPoles on the bird after getting home from the lake today.

If anyone is interested below is a link to the pin stripes I used. 1/8" matches exactly what is on the PowerPoles. You'll need a 2ft section (enough for error) for each pin stripe, eight 2ft sections per blade.

Super simple to do and really sets the boat off. They make them in TONS of colors.

Nice! Looks good, do you think it will hold up to the elements? How "sticky" is it?

They are pretty sticky. I put a coat of wax over them after I put them on.

It should essentially be the same pin striping we use on cars. They eventually get dry and brittle and will crack. It takes a few years for that to happen on cars that are out in the elements a lot more than most of our boats are so you think they might last a little longer on the poles. Make sure you strip any wax and all contaminents off the poles before application if you want them to stay stuck. Dont ever put an actual wax over the stripes or where you dont get the wax off down in the cracks will turn white and its a pia to get off. They do look pretty great and i might do them on my boat but not sure whether to get purple to match my boat or red to match the pro xs
