Finally some photosynthesis taking place in a couple areas and the good stuff is maturing. From Monday- Thursday it grew over a foot and the fish loaded up in it. This rain may muddy the whole place up and kill it but it was fun for a few days.

Curly pond weed. It's a native grass.

Select the yellow marker in the section of the river/bay you are interested in. Select the species of SAV in the chart (lower right) and it will take you to the description of SAV normally found in that area with multiple pictures of the plant.

Note: The type of SAV from the 301 bridge north varies allot based on where the fresh water/brackish water line resides and how long it maintains a given level of salinity. This is partially why we see various grasses disappear during the summer mid-river along with muddy conditions that stop photosynthesis.
