Are these drain holes supposed to be here???

Are these drain holes from the factory or were they added by a previous owner?

The ones in the rod box lip drains into the floor under the consoles and then water runs to the floor drain.

The 2 in the battery compartment lip drain directly onto the batteries.

There are 2 in the center storage box lip (not pictured) that drain into an area ahead of the storage box but not directly into the bottom of the boat.

I'm going to block them off permanently but was just curious if all ChampioNs had these.

After being out in the rain there isn't a single dry spot inside the boat except the rod lockers. I'd like to keep a few things under the consoles dry.

    Thanks
    Brian

When you block the drain holes the rainwater is still going somewhere.

He's correct they are indeed there from the factory. They are just like that on my 201, there are also two drains horizontally mounted under the seats.

Clean them out and let them do their thing... Unless you like wet storage compartments... Dan

My 1988 184 Super V has those exact holes. Like everyone said, They are stock, and need to stay open to keep your storage boxes dry.

Yes, My 184 has the same drain holes, although mine have a little plastic grommet to make them look a little more finished.
