    Question Motor Trim

Recently purchased a used boat, 2014 Z118C with a 150 pro xs 2 stroke, my motor will trim most of the way up then just stop, pump quits working. It's about and inch or two from being able to put the safety lock into place. Is there a limit switch somewhere causing the trim to cut out? I would like to check my fluid level, but I'm too afraid without having the safety lever slid into place. Other than the trim works fine just a little noisy, which is a common issue with these motors.

May have a trim limit module installed (usually tie-wrapped to the wiring harness near the PCM).
