    G2 Motors

Haven't had an Etec in over 10 years, and my last motor you had the option to run 50:1 or 100:1 regarding the oil. How are the new motors setup from factory? Is the oil ratio fixed or are the 2 options still in place ? Cannot see anything on the Evinrude site about this.

As I understand it the G2 150hp can be programmed to use either 50:1 or 100:1. Most people I read about on the forums are using the 100:1, and get great results from it. Dealers I talk to highly recommend the 100:1. It is what I will be using. Won’t be using that much from what I saw on my first 24 mile outing in it. Even with double oiling it took very little to fill up the oil reservoir after the first trip, and of course it used very little gas as well.

No option anymore. It says xd100, xd50 or any tcw3 oil and no way to select xd100 like there was on the older models
