All and all Im very happy with the flash and looks like the prop I have will be good enough for me. I am still gonna have it sent off to Mark for work and see if its any better. As for fuel burn, she will drink it if I run her hard. But at cruising speeds Im any where from 500-800 RPM less than normal so it should balance out. Again its amazing how quickly the boat will race to 70 mph now.

Sounds like you got it moving

It was, now with the foil its even better. Plus the foil looks sweet IMO. Keeps the bow rise almost level and I can stay on plane at super low speeds now.

Can you flash a 150 sho and, if so, are there any benefits?

if your motor is under warranty call Yamaha an ask them if you flash your motor to increase the original hp is the warranty still good.

No it doesn't void your warranty all 4.2 sho motors are identical except for the flash/ecu programming 200-300.....This has been fact for many years get up to speed before you spew misinformation you know nothing about.

If the engine is made where it can turn more than the recommended RPM it will void the warranty.

I do not need to read the entire post to know that if you overrev these engines your warranty will be voided. Also these are not composite block they are cast aluminum and the SHO does not use a sleeve like any other engine because it does not have a sleeve at all it has a plasma fused cylinder.

I blew my 225 SHO at 300 hours a few months ago. When I took it to my 5 Star Yamaha service center under warranty, the first thing he asked me........."was my ECU original?" Hmmmmmm.

Yeah I called my dealer and asked if it would void the warranty and they told me yes. They also said the first thing Yamaha will ask for in a warranty claim is a scan of the motor.
