Fuel restiction horn

Can someone please tell me where the fuel restriction sensor is located on a 93 200 XP is located or how it works.

Yep it is on the port side of the motor attached to the VRO bracket just underneath the VRO. It has 2 wires on it and a small hose T'd into the fuel line. When it alarms it is telling you, you have some type of fuel restriction and sounds when you are over 5,000 RPM. Causes no decrease in RPM. Check all of your fuel lines going into the motor for kinks or leaks and replace the fuel selector switch if you have one. Also knock out the anti-syphon ball in the fuel tank elbow.

I know this is a very old thread, but would this advice apply to a Johnson 175 Faststrike Silver Star, Model J175GLETR, Serial G03155099

Yep it is just in a different location on that motor. It's behind the air box.
