In Minnesota we have to clean all weeds and debris from our trailers and Drain all water out of the livewells, bait wells and remove plug by law prior to leaving a landing. The fact you have to bend over to clean weeds from lower unit, cables, ducers, etc...... to me is the reason I wont have a remote drain plug. Just inst worth the worry of it leaking if I have to bend over anyway.

They changed the drain plug on the 2020's as far as location so you are not trying to close the plug from the console. It is now located in the transom area with a direct pull to the plug.

Mine must have been one of the last 2020's to still have it next to the console.

I know VX and DVX have it in the back. Guess they standardized the AVX.

Mine would never seat all the way in. Lacking about 1/4", the valve handle was hitting hard on the console.
You can take a dollar bill slide it under the handle, close it and could not pull the dollar bill out.
The installation was set to LOW.
The fix was to pull off the rubber boot on the handle, and snip off 1/4" off the plastic handle, then put the rubber boot back on.
    Works perfectly now.
Makes me wonder how many more were set up like mine?
