All the pools north of Dubuque are coming down. Maybe some relief is coming. You can put in at Spring Lake campground. We're going to run a Thursday and a Saturday tournament out of there next week. Bass are biting in Spring Lake the last I've heard. If you're back in shape to fish give it a shot!

Hey Rip ... Been in physical therapy and the back is getting better. Trouble is my right hip has been acting up. If the water was really fishable I would give it a shot. It looks as if the next choice will be how long can I hold out on the hip. Glad to see you and some others are able to get on top of the flood ......

Just checking in ... is the Savanna Marina open and operating? We are going to get out and give Spring Lake a shot. Maybe next week. Now that rehab for the back surgery is winding down the Doc is lining me up for a hip replacement. Slowly becoming bionic - one part at a time. Thank God for Medicare & Blue Cross. So we are penciling in the 14th & 15th for a shot at Spring Lake. I noticed that the water level is dropping and is at 18' this morning ... Still way high but 4' lower than the crest a few days ago.

Only ramp available and probably the best one is gils right in spring lake. Water has dropped some so a few others might be opening up, but not likely.

Fishing was great last weekend. Went out Sunday with a few small tournaments going on and still managed around 15 fish. 4 in the 4lb range several 3's and then a bunch of 12-15" bucks. Did catch 1 that was for sure spawned out. Several others still looked full though.

Thanks for the update ... we are going to give it a shot - Spring Lake all day. We'll be happy with 1/2 of what you did... just need to get on the water. The fish will find us ... any hint on your bait selection?

If the weather stays stable it could take 20+ to make the top 5! Should be a fun weekend of fishing. I'd expect 50+ boats. Weather looks beautiful, fishing is great and everybody's still excited to get out.
