I have a 2007 VZ250TLR 60X L 1005280 and need new trim rods. I cannot find a parts breakdown for a 2007 VZ250TLR only for a 2006 VZ250TLR. The 2007 is for VZ250FTLR and they call for different part numbers. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You have a 2006 production year VZ250. If you look at the parts catalog you will see that the VZ250FTLR was not introduced until 0407. April/2007.
The same part number trim piston used on the FTLR is used on your motor. It is now a -08-00.
You can also call Sims Yamaha and they can set you up.

Thanks for the help guys!!
Now your next job is to remove them. I've tried a pin wrench on mine no luck kept snapping the pins... moved on to an air tool and they still won't budge. I think I've invented a few new swear words in the process. Any suggestions ?

Make sure all pressure is relieved before trying to unscrew the trim or tilt pistons. Maybe apply a bit of heat via a hot air gun to the cylinder while applying dry ice to the cap. Apply pressure to the removal tool and hold it for a while. The cap should start to turn.
I raise the motor, make sure to engage the safety stand then release the pressure using the screw on the side of the the trim. The motor drops as pressure is released but the trim is solid. I was airing on the side of caution as to not damage the housing or trim rods. Definitely the worst part of the job.
