Req info--- 225L PXS TM. (2B637234) 5hrs
merc monitor,,, level 2
i make my living flying so,,, I am pretty anal about engine instrumentation, etc etc,,,

I usually set up monitor to show coolant temp/oil temp/oil pressure, first off in morning. My oil pressure reading shows 80psi- 90,, but I get intermitant (--.--) it's not loosing oil pressure or it would of locked up by now,, plus oil temp remains in range. And NO alarm!
MY ???--- Is pressure sent to gauge on separate wiring?, or on data wire like Yamaha?( I apologies for typing the Y word)
it acts like loose connection, but if it was from sensor to putor it should trip alarm!, right?
just need to know how it's wired,, any input appreciated.

All data comes across the Can-P data trunk. Data is dampened, so it's virtually impossible to determine if you have an "intermittent" sensor or oil pressure problem via Smartcraft. Continuous- yes. Intermittent... not so much.

What exactly is being displayed? Is the RPM constant during this time?

Based on a display showing oil pressure when the engine is OFF, and irratic displays of oil pressure when running (with no other scrambled data), I would be checking the Oil Pressure sensor (and monitoring pressure on G3-2018 to determine if perhaps that sensor has a problem.

If so that would normally be a Warranty item.
