    TMC-1 Choke

Has this part by Minn Kota been updated to something newer? Everyone was out of stock last year and just looking now same problem.

They incorporated a choke inside the motor a couple years back. Bob

Yes I had read that and makes sense with today’s electronics. I’m holding out on a new troller waiting for a better transducer solution to occur and I see things are changing the direction I expected. Meanwhile I’m dealing with an older MG digital tour so trying to eliminate the snow on the side vision. Been through all the typicality solutions already so figured I’d give a choke a whirl. Thanks for the reply though.

I had two Motor Guide Tour motors and used the TMC-1 with both. It did not get rid of RFI on either one of them.
What worked is a couple of F240 mix 77 ferrite rings on the transducer cable.

I installed an Ultrex a few months ago and did not add the TMC-1.

Hum, I tried one on there with little difference, never thought about using two.

The number of wraps of the cable matters along with the extra core.

That seems to have done the trick, thanks!

How many wraps on the ferrite rings and where to purchase, please.

I ordered (2) Amidon #FT_240_77 off Amazon and wrapped as many times as I could right where the side scan cable plugs into the Lowrance module. Of course Amazon is out of these right now and no idea when they will have them.☹️

    Ferrite toroid, mix 77

Was having issues with my Helix 10 and Ultrex. RFI on the screen whenever I stepped on the TM power. Added these and cleared up 90% of the issues. No RFI when stepping on power.

Any noticed reductions of sonar images fine details using stacked chokes that are filtering out the Trolling motor's high frequencies present in the wiring?
