    ProXS 4 stroke prop?

Ok guys, trying to figure out which direction to go with a prop for my 21PHX and 250 ProXS 4 stroke.

The boat now runs 71-73mph depending on load. Fuel/passenger. Hole shot is decent. 25 pitch Fury 3 that came on the boat. WOT is only 5700rpm, redline on these motors is not until 6200rpm. Hyd Jack plate runs the best set @ 8, which I believe to be about 3.5 inches below pad. I have experimented with the range of settings. I feel like it has a little left on the table with the rpms so low. Do you guys agree?

Was considering another Fury 3. 24 or 23 pitch? Also was considering a Bravo 1. Maybe 25 or 26?
Then I was playing with Mercury's prop selector, and the only prop it would recommend for the 4 stroke is a Tempest. Does Mercury know something about prop selection on this new 4s or is this just a software thing?

Looking for advice or your experience,
    Thanks.

You’re overpropped. I would post on the Phoenix board for best advice.

    I'd try a 23P Fury3 and/or 24 Tempest plus if you can.

My 250 Pro XS 4S came with a 24 Fury on a Nitro z20...so far all I can get with a light load and 1/2 tank of fuel is 70.3 mph....easy to drive until I get over 65 then she starts to walk quite a bit.

A prop is never going to run the same on different hulls, motors, loads, elevations....

I think elevation is a critical factor here. The same boat/motor combo in Florida should out perform one in Colorado.

A lower pitch prop should help get your RPMs where you want them.

I have a 26 Fury (worked by Ronnie Gilbert) which runs similar to a 25 and have seen 78 @ 5800 solo on my 20PHX. I also bought a brand new 24 Fury that will turn up to 5950 but I’m only getting 73 mph. I think the 24 Fury’s need to be worked out of the box.
