yeah it's getting a little tiresome. Just acquire the land and be down with this every spring. Best guess is Memorial Day

In 2017 I think Crocker finally opened near the end of June. I don’t remember last year, but it was late as well. This IS getting old.

Unfortunately the only way to fix it is to build a breaker wall between the ramp and the Clinton cutoff well into the lake – at least that’s what the state is suggesting

The problem with that is the state can’t say if the silt would fill in all the canals to the south or send all of it right out onto the bedding grounds and would devastate the smallmouth

Neither is a good solution but the silt would have to go somewhere

This is just a poor location

the old guy that had the property before had the same problem

The whole thing is a joke a big ass lake with very limited access to it and everybody has got there hand out if somebody charged you money to launch your boat at Kentucky lake they would be throw in the lake

a new sewage/filtering type plant along the cutoff would do the trick

I pay 11 bucks a year for unlimited launching and access to all state properties.....Ifs a great deal for residents...
I paid 50 bucks a helmet to ride my Dirt Bike on the Hatfield McCoy trails in West Virginia....but I just figured it is the cost of recreation and still cheaper than alot of my other expenses...
Nobody is hiding costs.....and no one is forcing anyone to fish....but most believe it is money well spent..
As far as launches...I launch at Harley Ensign and run down to the mile roads....Its a great launch with lots of parking and like 20 launch lanes...I dont like Crocker's layout if it is busy..Plus if it gets windy I can finish my day up in Anchor Bay or the Channels and not be far from Harley..
