Peyton's surgery was expected to take 6+ hours. It was just completed well ahead of schedule and he's now in recovery!

First I heard about it, I hope it wasn’t for something too serious. For them.

Thanks guys, he is in icu now. He lost a lot of blood and not very responsive but is moving his legs and toes. They took some bone out of his hip area and fused his spine and installed the brackets and rods. Supposed to be up and moving tomorrow at noon. I can’t post a pic of the before and after of the x Ray bit cliff has it and is welcome to post it. It’s truly amazing how the Scottish Rote handles business. Never seen anything like this place and the people are so nice and accommodating.

In August he had a 42*curve, February 27 it had grown to 52 and yesterday had grown to 64 so it time to do it. Words can’t express the gratitude we have for Dr. Richards and the staff at Scottish Rite, and as Cliff said severely underpaid.

Update: was a rough morning and mid afternoon, he threw up etc. he did get up and walk on his own for a longer distance expected. He has actually eaten and held it down and if he continues the upswing on Saturday and the x rays look good we will be on our way home praise the Lord.

Dang, only 15 years old? Maybe being young will help it heal better.
