Actually the Ford F150 has been more "American Made" over the last few years ..Pretty much since they went to the Aluminum body..

If you look up the long term reliability data (JD Powers and others) of the american trucks Ford and GM do pretty well with of course, Toyota. Admittedly, this surprised me as I thought it would be Toyota BY FAR and its just not the case.

    Buy what you like.

However, grown men so brand loyal they'll fight you over it is pretty comical though

Drive a Ram before you decide. That will be all it takes unless you are, just don't care what it looks like or how it drives, loyal to a brand.

I went to the gas station before fishing in early February when the two tours were down. I had to wait while different wrapped Toyota trucks and boats got good gas, before I could get up to the pump. Most were FLW. Even sent a couple BBC members pictures in text that morning. Saying, I thought I was going to get a earlier start but these guys are hogging the ethanol free gas pumps.

If you think Toyotas are bullet proof and more reliable, spend a few days at the dealership garage. They are just as full as any of the other brands and there not all in there for oil changes.

We have half dozen Fords and half dozen Chevys. Each one is a little different, but they’re all decent rigs. I’ve never understood why people argue over rigs. They all have pros and cons.

A good truck is like a well worn pair of jeans. What feels right to you won't be worth having to someone else. I feel blessed to afford ANY of the new stuff on the market today.

Many of you are old enough to remember laughing at the little Honda Civic CVCC, Chevy Luv, Ford Courier, and a host of others that were rebadged foreign cars because our good ole American manufactures got caught with their shorts down when the gas shortages hit in the 70's. Before then owning a "foreign car", especially a Japanese car was about like owning a Chinese car today.

It seems like you plop down your 40-70K and hope you get a good copy. Brand loyalty is what got those manufactures in trouble back then, and it will again.

They all say how great they are but none of them give more then a three year Guarantee but keep raising the prices by adding more unnecessary things we don't need.
