    Praying 1999 FICHT 200HP SERIAL NUMBER CHECK-G0698995

    Hello Everyone,

I am new here. I am looking into buying a new to me boat and one of the ones I am currently looking at has a 200HP ficht engine on it. If there is a viewer that can do a check on a serial number I would greatly appreciate it.

I would do some research on Ficht engines, a lot of them didn't live very long and trying to sell a boat with one on it is very hard to do. Mine blew twice with less than 200 hours on it.

I have been. That is exactly what all my research is pointing to I'm afraid. What I have read is if it made it past that initial 200-250 hrs they are less worrisome? I am still very skeptical on the purchase to begin with though and it would have to be deeply discounted for me to feel secure in buying it. Thanks Angler!

if it still runs good, it is a good one. i have one and see many still in use locally. just make sure you get the boat for a low enough price to repower in the future if needed? my dad has gone through more optipops than I have fichts!!
