    Bass fishing Kissimmee?

I was going to go out there this weekend, and was wondering how the bite has been? Water? I haven't been out there in at least a year, usually only fish the south end... dont know the lake real well, usually just fish the pads and the edges. Thanks

I'll probably go out there by myself so if anyone wants to come along...

    Hey sorry I missed this.

My son and I were at Camp Mack from Sunday to Thursday.

Wind got us a couple of days, but we had a good time and caught some really nice fish.

The bugs were INSANE!!! I was in the pads by marker 8 on Saturday morning. My coangler and I were in a feeding frenzy. Over a hundred bass. We could see shiners, shad and minnows all around us too but they wouldn’t bite. We threw everything at them. Senkos, worms, flukes, swimbaits, Little EZ in shad color. You name it, we threw it to no avail

We didn't get anything like that. We found them in isolated hydrilla patches with clean(er) water.

They are Aquatic Midges and you can find them on every lake in Florida. Last week I was on E. Lake Toho, Toho and Kiss. and every time I pulled my boat on the trailer it was covered thick with midges. They sometimes almost make you feel like you could suffocate due to keeping your mouth shut, nose, ears and eyes covered. The best thing at this time of year is find fish off shore so you don't have to go into the grass.

Sounds like not a bad day. Was going to fish a tournament out there tomorrow but I think I'm going to stay home... 20+mph winds dont sound fun lol the wind will probably keep the bugs in check though lol

Fished the 1-man today, it was brutal, steady 20 mph wind....gusts had to be 30..... I only had a little over 10 pounds....17# was the winner. Had a good place where I caught about 8 of the 10#...on 3 fish....by 9:30, and then the wind got so bad that i had to abandon it....and only caught a few more dinks. Hopefully the wind lays down soon so I can get back out and find some more fish.....hopefully

On a positve note I fished a tournament with my dad on Lake Rosalie yesterday....and got the win
