    First trip of the year

    Made it out to horseshoe pond in merrimack today.
    First trip of the year. Wow was it nice to get out there .
    Water temp was 48 ° . It was a slow day no big ones.
    I got 3 lg mouth and my friend got one.

    Nice job, Tim! I'm surprised it was that warm, I don't think it's been iced out for even a full week yet, and it is pretty deep in a lot of areas too.

    The temp could be off. I didn't have my depth finder with me.
    We used my friends aqu camera to get a temperature reading.

    Sounds like a good start. I fished Saturday for a few hours in a local pond in my yak and never had a nibble. But on a high note I noticed this am on my drive to work that massabesic is wide open on the auburn side. Maybe this weekend I will break out the big boat.

    Happy you got out there on the water. On sat. we had 57-58 for water in one of our bog ponds, but we got up to 23 degs. this am, so our water temps are gone ...
    We were getting fish in a foot of water on Sat. Tim, best fish so far is 5.1 and you know who caught it
    Just be safe out there on the water..

    Action has been pretty good here Tim drag the boat down .. my buddy went to a pond I have been teaching him on and hit this today ... while I was stuck at work !!
